Back to basics

Most of the cross-stitches I have planned are for increasingly more complicated sprites - from fighting games or from later era games.

To take a step back from all that, I'll be doing a mini-series of my childhood gaming heroes and heroines. So far I have planned to make up A Link to the Past Link and Zelda, Mario, Luigi, Toad and Princess Peach in Super Mario 2 (All-Stars version), Will from Illusion of Time, the Hero from Secret of Mana, Super Metroid version of Samus, along with a few Sega characters - Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, plus Blaze from the first Streets of Rage.

...Maybe "mini-series" is misleading, but the point stands that these are simple, 16-bit era sprites - and not giant screen-filling ones like the Link/Nayru one.

It will also be a nice change of pace from all the clothes-sewing I've been doing lately (which is getting a bit relentless)
